Qatar has won the rights to host the FIFA World Cup 2022. For Qatar, the GCC and the MIddle East this presents enormous opportunities. The 2006 Asian Games made a huge difference to the country and the region as a whole, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup is also expected to benefit the country and the region.
